and Conditions
The
staff at Stylish Events and Hire would like to make
sure that your function is special in every way.
Following are the terms and conditions of trade.
Changes
to the website and products may change at any stage
with no notice given.
Deposits
A deposit of 50% is required to secure your booking.
We are unable to guarantee any booking without a
deposit. Once this deposit is received your function
hire will be considered confirmed. A security bond
is calculated into the final charge, this amount
is refunded after the event, less any shortages
or breakages.
Cancellation
In the event of a confirmed booking being cancelled,
notice in writing must be forwarded to our office
and the following will apply:
If cancellation more than sixty (60) days prior
to the function 100% of the deposit and payments
made will be refunded
Between sixty (60) and thirty (30) days prior 50%
of deposit and payments made will be refunded.
Outdoor
Event Cancellations
In the event of a confirmed ceremony being cancelled
due to wet weather, three hours notice is required.
If greater than three hours notice is given, labour
fees are refunded. If less than three hours no refunds
are given. No refunds are given for the cancellation
of hire items in either situation.
Numbers
and Payment
Final numbers and payment are required five (5)
working days prior to your function. This will be
the minimum number charged for your event. Final
prices include GST. We also offer a progressive
payment system. Ease cashflow commitment by taking
advantage of our progressive
payment system. You can make regular payments throughout
the year, and with each payment we will send you
a statement, making the budgeting that much easier.
Damage
to Hired Items
Any damage sustained to any items hired by the organiser
or their guests is the responsibility of the organiser.
The organiser is liable for the replacement of any
items that may be damaged or go ‘missing’
from the event. Costs involved are calculated on
replacement value. In the event that the charges
incurred are greater than the security deposit value,
an invoice will be issued.
Hiring
Charges
Charges quoted are a one day hire charge. Weekend
hire rates are applied as one day hire charge- delivered
Friday and returned Monday unless otherwise stated.
Weekly hire, i.e. 5 days, attracts a 2 day charge.
Long term hire is available on application. Late
fees will be charged for overdue hire items. Stylish
Event and Hire reserves the right to cease the term
of hire and repossess and equipment at any time.
Payment
Methods
We accept visa, MasterCard and bankcard payments
made either in person or by telephone. A $1.00 Merchant
fee applies to these services. We do not accept
American Express. Please make cheques or money orders
payable to Stylish Events & Hire. Eftpos facilities
are available on prior notice.
Indemnity
The Hirer shall indemnify and keep indemnified and
save harmless the Owner and the Owner’s servants
and agents all damages, suits, actions, claims and
demands of every description whatsoever and howsoever
arising either directly or indirectly from the use,
maintenance, transport, operation of the goods or
otherwise and whether resulting from the use of
the Owner, its servants or agents or otherwise.
Exclusion
of Liability
The Owner shall not be liable to the Hirer of the
Hirer’s servants or agents for any damages,
suits, actions, claims and/or demands or every description
whatsoever and howsoever arising either directly
or indirectly from representations cannot be excluded
under part V Division 2A of the Trades Practices
Act (1974) or relevant State Legislation, use, maintenance,
transport, operation of the good or otherwise and
whether resulting from negligence of the Owner or
servants or agents or otherwise.
